DELHI
Where the old meets the new. Rikshaw rides and the Presidential Palace. Experience the hustle and bustle of the main bazaar in the heart of the city home to 19 million people then switch gears to volunteer in the city’s slums
AGRA
An early morning bus journey will be to the city of the Yamuna River in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Famous for its many Mughal-era buildings, most notably the Tāj Mahal we’ll explore the capital of this desert kingdom
Dharamshala
Explore the edge of the Himalayas and see the residence of the exiled Dalai Lama. Volunteer with local children and chase the waterfalls and sunrises in the pristine isolation of remote mountainous villages.
Amritsar
Visit the Indian home of the Sikh religion and see the extraordinary Golden Temple. Witness changing of the guard at the India-Pakistan border.

One of the purposes of life, as well as one of the most fulfilling and meaningful things to do, is to positively influence the world around you. Based on a lot of research on how to avoid the pitfalls of short term voluntourism, AWP gets involved in some hands on volunteering through local organisations who are working with some of the most vulnerable people in society. Building, planting, painting and teaching English to kids and creating a lasting impact on the lives of all involved.
